Ordering a wedding cake is an important component when it comes to organizing a wedding. Determine your budget: Before you start the process of ordering a wedding cake, it's important to have an idea of how much you are willing to spend. This will help you set realistic expectations and ensure that you find a cake that fits within your budget.
Choose the style and design: Consider the overall theme, colours and style of your wedding when choosing the design for your cake. You’re welcome to provide us with inspiration photos or ask us for any suggestions. We will discuss any specific design elements such as the shape (round, square, hexagon etc), colour, and decorations (flowers, custom toppers) you want. Choose from a semi naked look or fully covered in buttercream.
Determine the size: Consider how many guests will be attending and use that as a basis to selecting the size of the cake. Would you like a larger tiered cake? Or maybe something small just for cake cutting. We can guide you on the appropriate size based on the number of guests you expect.
Select the flavours: Discuss the available flavour options and select the ones that you and your partner prefer. Consider having a variety of flavours or a tiered cake with different flavours for added variety. Currently we offer cake tastings twice a year.
Consider any dietary restrictions: If you or any of your guests have dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your needs. We currently offer gluten free substitutions and select flavours for vegan options.
Finalize the details: Once you have made all the necessary decisions, finalize the details with the bakery. This includes the delivery time and location, payment details, and any other special requests or instructions. A deposit will be required upon booking to secure your date.
Enjoy your cake: On your wedding day, all that's left to do is enjoy your beautiful and delicious wedding cake. Display it prominently at your reception and savour every bite as you celebrate your special day with your loved ones!
